Who we are

João Baptista Fernandes, the company’s founder and main shareholder, began his work as a sole proprietorship in May 1975, in Leiria. This was the origin of JBF – João Baptista Fernandes e Filhos, Lda.

JBF is a company which sells, both national and internationally, machinery, equipment and several products of renowned brands for the automotive and industrial sectors, namely:

  • Metal mechanics industry;
  • Metalworking industry;
  • Mechanical industry;
  • Automotive industry;
  • Mould industry;
  • Car repair shops;
  • Car maintenance shops;
  • Refractory industry (furnace construction for aluminium, glass, cement and steel);
  • Telecommunications and electronics (equipment and consumables for fibre-optic and related electronics).
